We are located downtown Alpena, on the corner of Second Ave and Chisholm, across from Culligan Plaza water fountain.There is parking in front and on the side of the store, in addition to a 60 space lot across the street.

You can expect to receive from Olivet Book and Gift at least 2 print catalogs per year and regular email contacts so that you can keep up to date on new books, music, videos and giftware that become available. Make sure that we have all of your information complete, both mailing and email addresses.

Payment Options

We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover for purchases over 5.00. We also accept Downtown Alpena Gift Cards. Personal checks are accepted with proof of ID, picture ID preferred.

Churches that have opened an account with us can charge out their purchases on a 30 day net pay basis if their accounts are in good standing. We only need the names of approved persons that can sign for church purchases on file at the store.


Special Orders

To our customers near and far; because Olivet Book and Gift may be a distance from some of our customers, we want you to know that we are happy to serve you by phone, email and eventually ship to you whatever product you may need. We ship through Fed Ex, UPS and local Postal Service. We make every effort to provide these services the most expedient and least expensive way. It is a very rare occasion that you will ever incur a shipping expense for merchandise special ordered when product is actually picked up at the store. However, when we need to ship to you from the store we are happy to do it and find ourselves providing shipping service several times a week. We are a small store, but we have access to every Christian publisher and most general market publishers on the globe. We make special orders to the largest distributors in the country several times a week.  It is unusual for you not to have your special ordered product in hand within 72 hours of placing the order.

Out of print and hard to find items are not out of the question for us. Over 40 times last year we had requests for out of print or hard to find items. We're happy to report that 98% of the time we could secure these products for our customers. Sometimes it takes a little time, but it is our pleasure to put our best foot forward and do a little extra scouting around for you.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We have a data base that provides us with our customers name, address, phone and email information. this information is collected and maintained with your permission and knowlege. We absolutely respect your privacy and will not under any circumstance sell or give your information to anyone or any business. We keep this information so that we can notify you of in store specials and also send you direct mail catalogs and postcards.
